More than what people read, what I like above all is that they tell their report on reading. Where, how, why. In bed, metro, walking. How often. How they stack them on their bedside table near the sofa. If they like to lend. Are they always in their bag. And if so, is this a book that never leaves them or the current one. I note with which they mark the pages. A postcard, a bus ticket, a "real" bookmark, and some have even fabric. Like whether they buy them, rent them in acquiring second-hand or supports the new. If their bulimia is almost sickly (I can not sleep without reading, my despair is indescribable if none waiting). I like to know how they finally decide to read it rather than another; coverage? an article in the press? an author which they feverishly awaiting the latest release?
So the lists (me who loves them both) is not what attracts me most, I like secrets, never revealed, readers with books they have here today on their knees, the index slipped between two pages ... November 12, 2010 9:05
